Today I wanted to try something new with my lipstick: Gradient lips! I love the look of gradient lips because it looks so fresh and cute. This was a trend started in South Korea and is part of the whole ‘Ulzzang’ trend and is very popular there. It’s only become a trend over here recently and I haven’t seen much of it lately because of the dark hues being worn during the winter. The purpose of the gradient lips is the opposite of a vampy, red lip; it’s more on the innocent side and makes your makeup and your face look more youthful and fresher. So to do the gradient lips, you need two colors that are in the same family, one should be lighter and the other should be darker/deeper than the other.
